Game of Thrones
“Game of Thrones” is not just a fantasy epic with a historical touch, but also a real cocktail of intrigue, passion, murder, violence and sex. A vicious tale, devoid of naivety, but containing an unprecedented depth and drama of unprecedented proportions. Oh yeah! HBO didn’t lose the chance of deciding to do such an experiment - there wasn’t almost anything like that in a “serial soap” environment. This heroic fantasy in television format will boldly put a dozen other full-length fellows on the shoulder blades.
Hardly anyone expected that the series of The Song of Ice and Flame, written by George Martin, could be filmed on a proper scale. But “The Lord of the Rings” at one time proved that fantasy is quite a cool genre, which the audience is watching is much more than a bunch of geek fans. Unlike the “childish” fabulousness, the usual fantasy that Peter Jackson showed the world, the authors of Game of Thrones do not soften the corners, but pour out the ears of vices, violence and sex, not hesitating, and sometimes even savoring the most impartial moments. It's all about an adult, so that the faint of heart is better to abstain, by the way, for children too.
The show is captivating not only by giving the viewer the vital "bread and circuses", but at the same time it does not slip into an implausible tale. The action takes place in the fictional continent of Västerås, where the conflict over the division of the kingdom turns into a bloody war. Fantastic elements of the narrative are present, but in that quantity, which does not interfere, with the built atmosphere of historical chronicles and empathy with human passions.
The stars were supportive of the creators of the Game of Thrones and during the two seasons that came out, even while remaining in television format, they were able to embody on the screen the wonderful world of the Seven Kingdoms without the slightest criticism of the actors and the technical component.
If excessive cruelty and a small confusion in the characters does not frighten the viewer, then it seems that he must be imbued with this chronicle of the struggle for the Iron Throne, forged from the swords of defeated lords. As for plot character-based porridge, this is quite a usual thing - at first, any epic work confuses, and it is hard to understand who is who, but it takes a little longer to “boil in this cauldron” and Starks, Lannister, Baration and Targaryen will immediately become familiar the series, the spectator already knows without problems who is a bastard and who is a hero.
