It's not what it seems ...

Impressions after watching the "Green Mile" is difficult to convey. I watched the movie as a child, I remember some scenes still greatly impressed me at that time. But, the recent review, allowed to rethink the plot as a whole. Such a movie, of course, is not forgotten and leaves a deep imprint on the soul, so it can be stated with certainty that the motion picture "Green Mile" has fulfilled its mission.

The general timekeeping is about three hours. But the film is so enveloping the consciousness that time flies by unnoticed, and even you do not complain at all about this fact, but rather it becomes sad that such a masterpiece is coming to an end.

In the "Green Mile", as in many films of this genre, there is no specific interpretation of the plot. The film contains much more meaning than one can imagine. In order to pay attention to each of them, I would have to describe the scenes separately, I will not do this, I will describe only some of the conclusions that I derived after viewing:

1. This, of course, is an obvious thread stretching through the whole film and shouting about how easy it is to slander and blame a person, relying only on his appearance and certain circumstances. And no one will try to get to the truth. The following idea is masterfully shown in the film: frightening and intimidating externally - it does not necessarily contain evil, whereas a small and cute one can be that clot of evil spirits.

2. It is a boomerang that flies around the globe, but eventually overtakes its target. It may seem that you escaped the crime, but do not rush to rejoice, retribution will catch up when the least expectation of it.

3. Does it really need a death penalty when it took so many innocent lives - but this is a question that has so far evoked much debate. Personally, I can say from myself that some creatures (for example, child killers, pedophiles, etc.) deserve the most severe death, but the problems of justice should not be ruled out. Quite often people had to pay their lives for other people's crimes ...

The cast is a separate topic. I will describe only those characters who impressed me most.

And in the first place, of course, is Tom Hanks. His character Paul - one of the guards in the corps condemned to death - is the key. Paul treats prisoners with compassion. He is strict, just and noble, and it is not surprising that the "gift" part was intended for him. I can not say that this is the best role of Tom Hanks, it is in the emotional aspect, but it is sufficiently saturated with the demonstration of a positive character. And the best role for Hanks, for me, to this day remains the "Outcast".

I can not help but mention Doug Hutchinson, in the image of Percy. That's the performance! I will not hide, some part of the film he masterfully pulled himself. Justifications his character, of course, does not deserve, but the actor himself is worthy of a loud ovation. Percy is such a little cowardly louse, with attractive features and burning eyes, shamelessly using her kinship ties. Also, I can not say that Percy is a complete jerk. Unlike the main villain, who really annoyed and evoked the utmost disgust and hatred, Percy still had the slightest bit of humanity. After all, he could not even look at the fruits of his so-called work, during the execution - although this is a common situation with miserable trushes.

I would also like to mention Michael Jeter, in the role of Edward. The last scene with him struck me in particular. I, in the truest sense of the word, stared at the screen completely stunned. Probably, it was the most intense and difficult to view the spectacle from the whole film.

"The Green Mile" is an impeccable movie, literally from the first minute fascinating with its atmosphere. It will be unnecessary to say that here you will not find sharp turns of the plot, action and so on. This film is a pure art. A movie that at least once, but everyone must see it.

Finally, from myself I add that people tend to destroy all their beautiful hands and tear up miracles around themselves with dirty shoes .
