Episode Four. The first film.
Who would have thought that in the film of 1977, which had long since become a cult, at the time of its release no one believed except the author. George Lucas, creating this film, was the only one who knew about the tremendous success that will overtake the tape in the process of hire.
Let's start with the positive features of the picture:
Actor play. Yes, for all its inexperience, the cast did excellent. Charming Han Solo, indomitable Princess Leia Organa, simple-minded guy, Luke Skayoker, funny copilot Wookiee Chewbacca, hilarious steam droids C3PO and R2D2, powerful and terrifying Darth Vader, wise and patient, Obi-Wan Kenobi - all thanks to the actor received memorable and vivid characters which most of humanity now knows.
Musical accompaniment. Who does not know the melody on Tatooine now, the theme of Darth Vader and the opening track - they are great, and for this many thanks to the unsurpassed master John Williams, his long years of life.
Visual effects. Even with such a big age project, computer effects look acceptable. And what happened to the audience in 1977, when they watched the premiere on the big screen? Bravo!
Very thoughtful story. Every step, every cue, every breath of Vader - all this is thought out to the smallest detail, revealing in the following parts of the saga, overgrown with new details and interesting.
Now about the unsuccessful moments. For all its reasonableness, the story only works after watching the entire trilogy, which makes a single film less valuable and not completely holistic. No matter how good the acting game is, the dialogs are not very professional, making the conversation somewhat naive and even predictable. Lucas also created to horror many of the races shown in the eatery, which are created to exist, without revealing in any way in perspective. And one more thing - Obi-Wan in one of the dialogs says that only imperial stormtroopers, who, after this phrase, NEVER hit any of their blasters, have such shooting accuracy. Well, at the end I’ll mention that I watched the movie already this decade and I still have no effect. Yes, I understand that they are outdated, but I appreciate the film, based on impressions in the 2010s, after the Nolanovsky Dark Knight, Iron Man and other visually beautiful ribbons.
In conclusion, I will say that the film has passed the test of time, therefore
9.5 out of 10
P.S. Why do attackers need uniforms punched from the first shot, if it is much more convenient without it?
