Good completion
I didn’t think that ten years after the release of the second part a new film is waiting for us - the completion of the trilogy about People in Black. And this completion, in my opinion, succeeded. From the very beginning of the film, you begin to feel some kind of nostalgia, it becomes pleasant that, despite the time between the pictures, the same actors play the characters, and while watching the second film for some reason this feeling did not arise, although the break was also considerable. But the main theme of the film, movement through time, still played a cruel joke with the concept of the film, because of which you can see a lot of contradictions and ridiculous mistakes. In my opinion, it is impossible to forgive it, but it is possible to explain, in order to facilitate viewing the picture yourself. In the film itself, in comparison with the past, they did not change anything with the characters and the “People in Black” themselves, which certainly pleases. At the expense of the main villain, the creators went with one of the easiest solutions - the villain who played an important role in the past, didn’t appear before the present, that is, before the events of the movie, considered dead or lost somewhere. But due to the fact that this picture again became like a family one, this version of events can be forgiven.
The plot with these movements in time is too confusing, and at least you will find some kind of mistake. The creators focused, this time, on two characters, as in my opinion, in the first one it was almost the same, but the bias went to the hero Will Smith, and in the second one - the focus was on the hero Tommy Lee Jones. Here we can see the past of the heroes, understand their whole essence, why in the end they became such that it was with them in the past. And if in the first two pictures the agents dealt with the threat to the Earth on their own, then one of them is forced to go into the past, which is very unusual for this film universe. It can be seen how they tried over the general concept, how to show the past, how to show the present, which we have already seen. And as I said, with real time, you feel real nostalgia. You can see that the characters are no longer young, they have not so much disposition as before, not so much desire. They again appear as partners, who seem to be friends, but in the end they don’t even know anything about each other. And the most important and interesting moment of the picture is the past. Having shown us “LVP” at the end of the 60s, the creators laughed and ridiculed both the fashion and the trends of the time, which affected not only the fighters of the Earth, but also its invaders. Not even the smallest details were forgotten, because the audience really wanted to see what they liked in past films here.
The soundtrack is very energetic. A lot of cool and really exciting music, which emphasize the concept of the film. The compositions are also very well combined with the main characters, especially when they constantly humor. The special effects are not the best, here, something, the creators pumped up. Some moments, of course, I wanted to show, but it could only be done with the help of computer graphics, but still there is enough bad animation here. Humor again became simple, family. There are almost no jokes here, I would even say that they are censored. Compared to the previous parts, where humor focused on the world itself, where there are aliens, on their behavior, there is humor around the main characters, which, of course, is one of the best ideas of the picture. The acting of both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, as well as Josh Brolin, who joined them, is great, but in some moments, Smith and Brolin are just a little replayed, since there were not many Jones in the film.
The film turned out, though not perfect, and with a lot of mistakes due to movement in time, it is nevertheless very funny and exciting. After the first two films, this film is simply not possible to watch, because the actors are back in business, and they have given us a really good and funny blockbuster.
